The agreement consists in a capital increase that will favor the industrial development of the product and the consequent entry on the market. An important result, which testifies to the increasingly evident centrality of third mission activities in Italian universities. The agreement with Santex – highlights a note – give way to the productive and technological transformation of a "knowledge" born within the research laboratories of the Scuola Sant'Anna and developed also thanks to the entrepreneurial courage of G-Factor of the Fondazione Golinelli, first investor who favored the establishment of Relief as an innovative spin-off company.
Relief is a leader in the design of an artificial urinary sphincter that, unlike common solutions, is implemented in a minimally invasive regime and is able to restore urinary continence, significantly improving the patient's quality of life. Thanks to Relief, Santex will present a complementary solution to the products it already markets, thus expanding its offer in the market of medical devices and, specifically, urinary incontinence.
