FONDAZIONE GOLINELLI INVESTS IN 5 NEW STARTUPS SELECTED IN THE 2020 CALL

Fondazione Golinelli, via its G-Factor, invests in innovation projects and new companies in the sector of Life Sciences.

Five startups made the cut in the second edition of "Life Science Innovation 2020", the 1 million euro international call promoted by Fondazione Golinelli seeking those who might have a winning idea in the pharma and biotech, medtech, nutraceutical, bioinformatics, and bioengineering sectors.

The program started on April 30 and will end in December. It includes a 3-month training program, customized for each business and a mentoring phase for the last 6 months. Due to the Covid-19 emergency, the first training phase is taking place online, thanks to the use of digital platforms.

"Life Science Innovation 2020" has received a total of 137 applications for innovative start-ups, from Italy and abroad. The five selected teams - Bacfarm, Lighthouse Biotec, Nib Biotec, PerFormS and Recornea - will have the opportunity to undertake an incubation and acceleration path with G-Factor (Incubator-Accelerator of Fondazione Golinelli), whose mission is to promote the development of young companies to create new entrepreneurial activities with a highly innovative, scientific and technological content.

The start-ups will engage in the G-Force program designed for researchers and young experts possessing a high technical-scientific profile, which accelerates the talents and the growth of the teams' entrepreneurial and scientific skills through workshops, mentoring, coaching, recruiting and matching with potential industrial partners.
