Friday june 14, at 2.30 pm, the Centro Arti e Scienze Golinelli will host Steve Gedeon’s talk: “Networking with Business Angel Investors”. The event, open to the public, is organized by G-Factor at the end of G-Force acceleration program Demo Day.
Business Angels fill vital roles in the entrepreneurial eco-system with funding, advice, connections, corporate governance and occasionally, executive management. Understanding the investment process from the Angels’ perspective will help you understand how to network, connect, interest, and potentially attract, an Angel investor.
Dr. Steve Gedeon, author of “A Practical Guide to Angel Investing – How to Achieve Good Returns” will introduce the basics of making an investment in early stage startup companies. He will describe who Angels are, why they invest, how they make their decisions, and how they work with companies – from the Angels’ point of view.
Dr. Gedeon is a motivational speaker, entrepreneur, Angel investor and venture capitalist who has founded or led over a dozen private, public, venture capital and non-profit organizations. He has won over 20 awards including the President’s Award of Teaching Excellence, Experiential Teaching Award and the USASBE National Award for Entrepreneurial Experiential Education; published over 100 articles, reports and patents; and delivered over 150 public speaking engagements and on-line videos on personal leadership, motivation, negotiation, entrepreneurship, angel investing and teaching.
Steve is Chair of the Ryerson Entrepreneur Institute, Director of the Ryerson Angel Network, Managing Director of the Dobson Micro-Financing Seed Venture Fund, and co-founder of the Angel Academy as Chair of the Education and Research Committees of the National Angel Capital Organization.
